Today we are on the first leg of a long journey. So our opportunities for Random Acts of Wildness are all in-flight.
I began reading ‘H is for Hawk’ by Helen Macdonald, and was engrossed straight away. One section I thought was particularly relevant to 30 Days Wild was when the author wrote about the reintroduction of goshawks back into Britain
Elusive, spectacular, utterly at home, the fact of these British goshawks makes me happy. Their existence gives lie to the thought that the wild is always something untouched by human hands. The wild can be human work.
