As we rushed out of the door into the rain this morning Finlay and I encountered two snails making their way across our front path.
I had to stop and watch them. One was the smallest snail I’d ever seen, so I had to take a photo of course. And now apparently I am the embarrassing mum who takes photos of snails 🙂
When I returned after dropping Finlay off at school, they were still there, truly moving at a snail’s pace.
I wish I could say I was able to move slowly today. Today’s been a day full of activity, packing and last-minute prep for a long-awaited trip.
It’ll be time to slow down soon.
