For today’s Random Act of Wildness, I decided to find the colours of the rainbow. I found them all in my garden, wandering around my neighbourhood, and of course, in the sky.
With the first week of 30 Days Wild over I reflected on how taking part has impacted me so far.
I’ve found that consciously slowing down to take notice of the natural world around me increases my happiness. I’ve realised that mindfully seeking out beautiful pockets of nature makes my day brighter, and watching animals go about their day is delightful.
I’ve also realised that there is so much I don’t know. I want to be able to identify all the birds, all the clouds, all the trees, all the insects and all the flowers. But I know that this is just the beginning. The beginning of a learning journey that I’m excited to go on.
